Are you in the New England area?
Have you ever thought that the con season was over in the fall, and were like, “Man, I sure wish there was a convention in the Maine area that’s 100% pro industry and small enough to make lifelong friends in?”
Well, fear not! I have come to save you with…
ANIMAINE is a pro-industry, anti-lame anime convention located in South Portland, Maine! We’re only in our third year, but we’re well on our way.
ANIMAINE is all about promoting the anime industry in North America, and most of its programming is about how the industry brings anime overseas, how pirating and bootlegging hurts it, and how you can help! We have bootleg spotting tutorials, as well as what to look for in a vendor’s room, and what to do if you find one!
On Saturday night, we’ll be taking everything you’ve learned up to that point and cap it all off with the Bootleg Bomber!
Bootlegs that are donated to us by fans who want to see them “handled” are destroyed in this safe, fun event that’s always a highlight of the weekend!

And to top all of that off - we have a 100% verified Bootleg Free Marketplace!
Mary Sue from Evangelion is our Bootleg Watcher.
In addition, you can also check out our Game Room, screening areas, and downtown Portland, just ten minutes away!

Now, just because we’re about the industry, doesn’t mean we got other programming as well! Some of our biggest attendee-run events in the past have been fandom-specific, including a MLP quiz show, a Hetalia panel, how to start your own fan parody, a dace party DJed by Greg Ayres, and more!

In addition to guests like Greg Ayres, Tiffany Grant, and Sentai Filmworks rep David Williams, we’re also offering five dollars off to anyone who brings a badge on the list of our Convention Club! That’s a 27$ badge if you pre-register online*! College students who bring their IDs get an additional 10% off*!
